About This Program:

This session answers the question: “What if I’m really struggling, and I’ve got only 30 seconds to do something about it?” We explore three techniques that are uncomplicated, quick enough to do in 30 seconds, and remarkably effective at dealing with stress and anxiety. A legal professional’s day moves fast; sometimes, we don’t have more than 30 seconds between our last meeting and our next one. If we want to preserve our own well-being and effectiveness, we need tools that take that reality into account.

Your Instructor: Jon Krop

Jon founded Mindfulness for Lawyers after graduating from Brown University and Harvard Law School, clerking on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and working as a litigator at law firms in Los Angeles and New York City.

Jon has taught mindfulness at Harvard, Stanford, Yale, the Pentagon, the world’s top law firms, Fortune 100 companies, and other organizations.

Jon has practiced mindfulness since 2006 and has studied with teachers from around the world, including psychologists, neuroscientists, and traditional Buddhist masters.

In 2014, Jon completed a seven-month silent meditation retreat.
